Braves are approaching an incredible home run record

There are only 14 games left for the Braves to catch the Twins, but Atlanta's high-powered offense has a legitimate shot at accomplishing the record-breaking feat. 

Atlanta has plenty of weapons in their lineup to get the job done. Albies' first-inning home run was his 30th of the year, giving the Braves five players with 30 or more round-trippers on the year, joining designated hitter Marcell Ozuna (34), Riley (36), right fielder Ronald Acuna Jr. (37) and first baseman Matt Olson (51). 

Furthermore, the Braves go deep often, averaging a home run every 17.9 at-bats, which is tops in the league per Baseball Reference. 

Atlanta entered the day with the best record (96-51) in the majors, having wrapped up the National League East title earlier this week. Meanwhile, the two other NL division leaders, the Los Angeles Dodgers (89-57) and Milwaukee Brewers (83-64), are unlikely to catch the Braves for the top spot, which could spoil the team's plans for history. 

With virtually nothing to play for standings-wise, the Braves could opt to rest a few of their star players down the stretch. However, that seems to be the only thing between the Braves and another offensive record.
