McKivitz started all 17 games last season, with 1,219 of his 1,245 offensive snaps spent at right tackle. During his 2023 campaign, McKivitz allowed team-highs in pressures (59) and sacks (nine). His 65.2 overall grade from Pro Football Focus ranked sixth among 49ers offensive linemen.
San Francisco made McKivitz (6-6, 301) a fifth-round selection (No. 153 overall) out of West Virginia in 2020. The 27-year-old has 45 game appearances with 22 starts through his four NFL seasons. He took over as the starter after Mike McGlinchey departed for the Denver Broncos in free agency last year.
McKivitz initially had one year remaining on his contract. With this deal, the offensive lineman is now signed through the 2025 season.
