Cowboys Star Micah Parsons’ Brother Speaks Out On Future
Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Dallas Cowboys edge rusher Micah Parsons became eligible for a contract extension this offseason, but a rift may be developing between the two sides.

A recent report surfaced that the Cowboys were growing tired of Parsons’ behavior, which could have an impact on how Dallas approaches negotiations with the superstar pass rusher.

However, Parsons’ brother, Terrence Parsons Jr., doesn’t seem to think this will affect much of anything.

Terrence took to social media to comment on the situation between his sibling and the Cowboys and thinks that Micah will get paid regardless.

More than likely, Parsons’ brother is right.

It’s hard to imagine Dallas allowing Parsons to get away, as he has established himself as one of the best defensive players in football.

The 24-year-old, who played his collegiate football at Penn State, was selected by the Cowboys with the 12th overall pick of the 2021 NFL Draft.

He enjoyed a terrific rookie campaign, registering 84 tackles, 13 sacks and three forced fumbles en route to a Pro Bowl appearance and a First-Team All-Pro selection.

The following year, Parsons was dominant yet again, finishing with 65 tackles, 13.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and a defensive touchdown, making another trip to the Pro Bowl and earning a second straight First-Team All-Pro nod.

This past season, Parsons racked up 64 tackles, 14 sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery, notching his third consecutive Pro Bowl appearance.

Parsons has also finished top three in Defensive Player of the Year voting in all three of his NFL seasons.

Perhaps the Cowboys really are getting annoyed with Parsons’ antics, or maybe this is just a negotiating tactic on their part.

Whatever the case may be, Dallas will probably end up keeping Micah Parsons for the long haul.
