The Las Vegas Raiders, as we have said a million times by now, need their quarterback of the future, and to do that, they will have to draft one. They can develop Aidan O'Connell, but from everything we have seen, there are much better options out there.
The Raiders have the No. 13 pick in the draft, which may be too far back to get one of the best three quarterbacks. However, when you factor in everyone who needs a quarterback ahead of the Raiders, it likely will be.
But they can always move up in the draft. If they do, we know who they want to target because we know who Antonio Pierce's favorite quarterback is in this draft.
And it just so happens that the Raiders will meet with Pierce's favorite prospect on Wednesday at their pro day.
According to Ian Rapoport, the Las Vegas Raiders are going to LSU's Pro Day to meet with and work with quarterback Jayden Daniels. Daniels is projected to go in the top three of the 2024 NFL Draft. He won the Heisman Trophy last season and is the best dual-threat quarterback in football.
Immediately following his Pro Day, #LSU QB and potential Top 3 pick Jayden Daniels is scheduled to meet with the #Patriots, #Commanders, #Giants, #Vikings, #Broncos and #Raiders, per his agent Ron Butler. Daniels has not previously met with any teams. pic.twitter.com/1wM92chLz8

According to the AP, Jayden Daniels has known Pierce since he was 14. The two go way back, including when Daniels was the quarterback at Arizona State University, and Pierce was the defensive coordinator.
Now, this does not really guarantee anything, as there are so many teams at his pro day, the largest one in years, and only one team can draft him. However, it does confirm just how interested they are in him.
