Down 4-0, Seth Jones, Blackhawks rally past Sharks

Seth Jones scored two goals, including the game-winner 18 seconds into overtime, as the visiting Chicago Blackhawks rallied from a four-goal deficit to defeat the San Jose Sharks 5-4 on Saturday night.

Ryan Donato had a goal and two assists, and Philipp Kurashev and Tyler Johnson each added a goal and an assist for Chicago (20-46-5, 45 points), which snapped a two-game losing streak and won for just the second time its last 27 road games. Taylor Raddysh added two assists, and Petr Mrazek finished with 26 saves.

Fabian Zetterlund had two goals and an assist and Thomas Bordeleau also scored twice for San Jose (16-46-8, 40 points) which lost its seventh straight game.

Devin Cooley, a native of nearby Los Gatos who became the first Bay Area native that played in the San Jose Jr. Sharks program to play in an NHL game for the Sharks, finished with 26 saves.

Chicago was trailing 4-3 with 1:25 left in the third period when it pulled Mrazek for an extra attacker. Kurashev then tied it with 47 seconds left when he put in a rebound of his own shot from the right side of the crease.

Jones then ended things quickly in overtime when he skated into the high slot and fired a wrist shot past Cooley's glove side for his sixth goal of the season.

San Jose jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period on a pair of goals by Bordeleau. The first came on the power play at the 3:53 mark when he redirected a Zetterlund pass into the slot inside the right post.

The second came midway through the period when he picked up a loose puck near the edge of the left circle and snapped a wrist shot past Mrazek's glove side.

The Sharks extended the lead to 4-0 with two goals by Zetterlund in the first 84 seconds of the second period.

The first came just 16 seconds into the period when he fired a wrist shot from the high slot that deflected in off defenseman Alex Vlasic's leg. The second, his career-high 20th of the season, came on a backdoor tap-in off a crossing pass from William Eklund.

Chicago cut the lead to 4-2 later in the period on goals by Donato, who backhanded in a rebound of a Raddysh shot, and Johnson, who put in a wrist shot from the low slot off a Donato pass during a delayed penalty.

The Blackhawks closed to 4-3 at the 6:20 mark of the third period when Jones scored on a delayed penalty.
