Recently, Thiago Motta has been seemingly set on a move to Juventus. However, it seems that AC Milan will make a late swoop for the Bologna manager, and reports believe the Rossoneri have a chance in their pursuit.

Since the start of the issues with Stefano Pioli this season, Motta’s name has always lurked to be a replacement. However, Milan have not acted until they have been at risk of losing him.

Reports have suggested that the race for the Bologna manager has been between two, the Rossoneri and the Old Lady, and it looked, and potentially even still looks, like he will be the manager of Juventus next season, given nothing has been signed yet, there is still a chance this could change.

As Tuttosport (via PianetaMilan) writes, whilst the Bianconeri are heavily interested in Motta, Milan are quickly making up ground in the process, trying to prepare a turnaround in the race. The Diavolo have admired him for several months, and his contractual situation only reinforces this view.

Yet, it was only when the 41-year-old was slipping away that Milan began to make their move – whether they will be successful in their pursuit is unknown, but they will try regardless.
